Rocket: a double from Vejdemo is not enough

Despite two goals from Lukas Vejdemo, the Laval Rocket suffered a 5-3 loss to the Americans on Friday night in Rochester.

Vejdemo is also the one who opened the scoring in this part, halfway in the first period, then completing his double at the start of the second. Tobie Paquette-Bisson also scored for the Rocket while goaltender Cayden Primeau made 28 saves on 32 shots.

The Americans effectively completed the scoring in an empty net when Ryan MacInnis gave up the insurance goal with one minute remaining on the clock. Brandon Biro, Sean Malone, Michael Mersch and Mitch Eliot had previously hit the target for the locals.

The Rocket will play their next game on Sunday when they visit the Bears in Hershey.
