Italy is in a difficult political situation. The third round of voting organized on January 26, 2022 in the Italian Parliament to elect the President of the Republic did not make it possible to designate a winner, prolonging the uncertainty weighing on the future of the head of government Mario Draghi and his executive.
It was the outgoing president Sergio Mattarella, 80, very popular but who ruled out standing for a second term, who came out on top with 125 votes. A fourth round of voting will therefore take place on January 27., with one notable change, however: an absolute majority will be sufficient to designate a winner, whereas a two-thirds majority was required for the first three rounds. It is in this context that the porn star Rocco Siffredi made a special announcement: he wants to propose to be president!
It all started with a joke as an observer of political life: Rocco Siffredi took a break from filming to propose his candidacy for president, with humor. In the Instagram video he posted, the 57-year-old X figure believes he is now the right age: “I am officially applying for the post of President of the Republic. (…) Basically, we know that I have done more good for the country than all the politicians“.
