Two individuals will be questioned by investigators from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) in connection with a stabbing attack perpetrated against a 16-year-old teenager late Sunday afternoon.
SPVM officers were called to intervene at the corner of Perras and Rodolphe-Forget boulevards, in the Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough, around 4 p.m., following an altercation that took place in this sector.
When the police arrived, a 16-year-old young man found at the scene presented with serious injuries to his upper body. He was quickly transported by ambulance to a hospital. We still did not know his state of health, Sunday evening.
Two individuals were then arrested by SPVM officers and will be questioned.
The cause of the altercation is still unknown, but according to the first information available, it would have taken place outside while the injured young man would have taken refuge in “an establishment” not far away.
A perimeter has been established in the area. Investigators specializing in criminal investigations have been tasked with shedding light on this event.
