“Revolution on tour”: Serge Denoncourt improves the original show

A third season of the show having taken place, last fall, it was important to include new members in “Revolution on tour”, which will resume the road soon. Serge Denoncourt returned to the rehearsal studio with the whole team to make some modifications.

“We kept the numbers that pleased the public, and we added those of the winners and finalists of the last season, indicated the director. The show is still a “best of” of the show.

The original troupe is joined by the duo Yannick and Éliana, while Vincent and Bianca replace Samantha and Adriano. Rahmane, Yohe and Cindy, as well as the group Break City All Stars, are also in production, as is Jean-Marc Généreux who will again accompany all the dancers.

“The winners of the three seasons have a special place in the show,” said Serge Denoncourt. For the winning trio of the last season, I had to choose from all their numbers. But it was, for example, impossible to take the cube on tour, so we chose to keep the swing number. For me, the most important thing is to see them dance above all.”

A size

While the halls are reopening and the shows are resuming, Serge Denoncourt’s agenda is particularly busy and he felt the need to call on a dance size to assist him on “Revolution on tour”.

“Nico Archambault will ensure the follow-up and the feasibility of the show, he announced. He recently worked with me on the production of the musical “I’ll love you” in France, because his wife is the choreographer. We came back to Montreal together. I asked Nico to come and support me on “Revolution”, especially since he knows dance better than I do.”

Six parallel productions

Serge Denoncourt is currently working on two shows in Europe and four in Quebec, projects that had been canceled or postponed, as well as new ones that were already planned.

“I find myself with a crazy schedule. But there’s no secret, I have extraordinary assistants on all the shows who do a lot of preparation in advance before arriving in the rehearsal room. You have to be very organized and it will be like that until June. But after two years of doing almost nothing, I’m in great shape. I’m not complaining about what’s happening to me.”

The director has also confirmed that the distribution of the musical “Annie”, which is to be presented next June at the Just for Laughs festival, is complete.

“It was long and difficult, we had a lot of candidates, but we found. I think it’s going to appeal to the public because it’s a very unifying show for the whole family. This is what is happening in France with the musical “I will love you” that I created. Grandparents bring their children and grandchildren.”

This show could also soon be presented in Quebec with local distribution.

“Revolution on tour” resumes on March 10, in Quebec, before going to Saguenay, Trois-Rivières and Sherbrooke. We will be back in Montreal on April 28. More information is available online [revolutionentournee.com].
