This collapsed building is located in one of the busiest pedestrian streets in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne). Residents are still in shock. You have to sneak into the adjacent streets to see the damage. Many come out of curiosity and questions. “The question of follow-up arises”, points to a local resident.
Street closed to passers-by
To allow trucks to recover the rubble, the street on which the collapsed building is located was closed to passers-by. All the businesses are closing. “The street has been closed to us, we have to go back”, confides a trader. Clearing was suspended for the night and will resume this Sunday, March 10.
