A resident shows the common areas of her building: broken doors, broken lamps, traces of fires in the parking lot. A video surveillance dating from 2023 shows a man dousing two cars with gasoline, while above are dozens of apartments.
In Moulins, residents fear finding themselves in the middle of score-settling. Symptoms of a lucrative drug trade that brings in up to 20,000 euros per day. To stem it, private security guards have been hired and the police presence has been reinforced, with “Place Net” operations a few months ago, of uncertain effectiveness. The State is also counting on urban renovation. 90 million euros must be invested by 2030.
