Indeed, the collection entitled bright lights will bring together 88 film reviews he has published in the newspaper The Clarion of Saint-Hyacinthe between 1947 and 1949.

At only 25 years old, “with total freedom and impeccable erudition”, René Lévesque discusses in these chronicles “as much the classics of cinema as commercial production from here and elsewhere”, explains the press release issued by the house of editing.

It was the cinema professor at Université Laval, Jean-Pierre Sirois-Trahan, who “rediscovered” these chronicles and brought them together in this book, the presentation of which he signed.

The release is scheduled for 1er November, the date of the death of the former premier of Quebec in 1987.
