Renaud Lavillenie at the beach with his little Gabin, adorable moment immortalized by his wife Anaïs

Life is good for Renaud Lavillenie and if for most people the holidays are over, it seems that the pole vaulter has decided to prolong the pleasure. A true legend of his sport, the 36-year-old athlete has won almost everything in his discipline. Olympic champion at the London Olympics in 2012, he reigned over the discipline, repeatedly breaking the world record for the high jump. If now the competition is tough and the first place is rarely achievable, he is nonetheless a top athlete and he may well continue the adventure until the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Alongside this brilliant career, Renaud Lavillenie is a fulfilled man, in a relationship since 2007 with another pole vaulter, Anais Poumarat. The two lovebirds married in September 2018, a year after the birth of their first child, little Iris. On February 28, their second child was born. Gabin joins the Lavillenie family, completely gaga for the little boy, who quickly took his place in the house. “Dad x2 since that night 3h46. Suffice to say that I didn’t have my head on the pole this weekend. The birth of our son was our first concern with Anaïs So happy to start the week like this”had announced the pole vaulter at the time of the birth of his son.

Day at the beach with Gabin, under the sun

Now 6 months old, little Gabin has grown well, as his mom showed on Instagram. In her story, the 33-year-old mother, who has become a graphic designer and lives in Clermont-Ferrand with her husband, posted a beautiful photo a few hours ago. On the picture you can see Renaud Lavillenie, from behind, sunglasses on his nose, carrying his son in his arms. We can see that the little baby has already grown a lot and with his cap on his head, he already looks like a little guy (the photo can be found in the slideshow). The athlete and his son are enjoying the good weather at the beach, without anyone really knowing where the little family has gone to relax.

A beautiful moment for two for Renaud Lavillenie and Gabin, who can enjoy the last rays of summer sun at the water’s edge!
