The Blues are in the final after their victory against South Africa (19-5) on Saturday, at the end of a match where all the points were scored in the second period.
The Stade de France was jubilant. The French qualified for the final and are assured of a medal in the rugby 7s tournament thanks to their victory over South Africa (19-5), Saturday July 27. Antoine Dupont’s Blues, who came on as a substitute at kick-off, took their revenge on the last Rugby World Cup 15s where the South Africans won at the same stage.
After a balanced first half without a point, both teams accelerated after the break. South Africa was the first to score before the French responded quickly thanks to Swan Rebbadj, who equalized and then put the French in the lead. Jordan Sepho added a final try.
