The craftsmanship of stained glass, a Reims know-how

“Ma France, l’été”, has the chance to receive a master glassmaker from the oldest stained glass workshop in France. The Simon-Marq stained glass workshop has been in existence since 1640 and was responsible for saving the stained glass windows of Reims Cathedral in 1917, after a violent fire.

Since 2019, the activity has been taken over by Emmanuel Taittinger and Philippe Varin. The workshop, which moved from the Sacré-Coeur church to Reims in 2020, is working on a project to open a stained glass museum.
