Furnished tourist accommodation: “we’re coming to restore a little equality”

“Social housing is not for life”

Requisition of vacant housing: an “extreme emergency” option

Asked about the more than three million vacant homes in France compared to the 330,000 homeless people, Guillaume Kasbarian assures that “200,000 places now make it possible to urgently accommodate homeless people who need it most” and puts forward a policy “on which the State is investing three billion euros”.

Guillaume Kasbarian explains that “more than 3.5 million properties” are vacant in France either “because the habitat is very degraded”either because of “inheritance problems” Or “because some owners choose to leave it empty” their good. The minister reserved the requisition “when we are in an extreme emergency situation”as in winter, by also requisitioning offices.
