Red Sox agree six-year deal with Trevor Story

(Fort Myers) The Boston Red Sox have reportedly signed a six-year, $140 million deal with Colorado Rockies star shortstop Trevor Story, and decided to play him at second base.

This pact, first reported by USA Today and later confirmed by several American media, will allow the Red Sox to solidify the middle of their infield.

He had been struggling since Dustin Pedroia was injured for the first time in 2017, and this decision will allow Xander Bogaerts to remain at shortstop.

The formation of Massachusetts will also have an alternative solution if ever Bogaerts chooses to terminate its agreement with them at the end of the campaign.

Story, 29, batted .251 with 24 homers and 75 RBIs with the Rockies last season. It was the first time in four years that his name did not appear on ballots for the National League Most Valuable Player award.
