Record growth, sustainable growth?

After the historic recession suffered in 2020 due to the health crisis, the French economy rebounded sharply in 2021 with growth of 7%, unseen since 1969. Many indicators are green: unprecedented employment rate since 1975 , record drop in unemployment, business investment which exceeds its pre-crisis level… Same situation in the United States: last year, American growth (5.7%) was the strongest since 1984. Has the machine started again for good or is it just a flash in the pan?

Education: more diplomas to earn more?

With the high school reform initiated by the government and carried by Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer, teachers are alarmed at the place given to mathematics. They note the decline in the number of young people following the course, especially among girls. Is this a problem for access to higher education? What is the link between level of training and wages in France?
