rare photo of his father’s worthy heir who gets his hands dirty

In October 2024, Coluche would have celebrated its 80th birthday. But life decided otherwise… The comedian, actor and founder of Restos du coeur, an association which paved the way for the Coluche law, died suddenly in a motorcycle accident in June 1986. He was only 41 years old. Nearly forty years after his death, Coluche remains one of the favorite personalities of the French. No one has forgotten the actor, and even less so the creator of Restos du coeur. This Friday, March 1, 2024, Les Enfoirés will come together to celebrate their 35th anniversary, unfortunately marked by the absence of Mimie Mathy, plagued by new health concerns. A concert that raises millions of euros in funds each year to help the most deprived to spend the winter warm, without suffering from hunger and thirst.

This Saturday, February 24, 2024 was held in Tours (Indre-et-Loire) a new giant stew operationwhich Les Restos du Cœur has organized since 1995. Each year, this charitable event allows to raise nearly 30,000 euros. A significant event, attended by several thousand people. And among the guests this Saturday was a face that many people inevitably recognized: Romain Colucci. The eldest son of Coluche and Véronique Colucci wanted to put on the apron to come and help chef Ambroise Voreux, revealed by the show Top Chef. The latter had to prepare 6,000 portions of pot-au-feu, all of which were sold within a few hours. Of the 6,000 portions cooked, 20% of them were intended for vegetarian customers, with a recipe revisited by the chef.

Romain Colucci cultivates his silence, and his public appearances are rare

All proceeds are donated to the association. Asked by The ParisianRomain Colucci, Marius’ big brother, paid tribute to their deceased parents: “Where my parents are from, they must be really proud of what the volunteers and the French do for Les Restos du Cœur”. Green hat, short-sleeved down jacket, Romain Colucci was very proud to present to the Parisian the revisited pot-au-feu that he himself prepared alongside chef Ambroise Voreux. Less present in the media than his little actor brother Marius, Romain Colucci shines in literature, and has published numerous works dedicated to the memory of his father. In 2017, on the sidelines of the presidential election between Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen, he notably published a compilation of quotes and aphorisms uttered by his father when he pretended to run for the 1981 presidential election.
