With a new toll approaching 3,000 dead and 5,000 injured, Morocco badly needs help. Indeed, an earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale struck the Maghreb country during the night from Friday to Saturday, causing fear within the country and across the world. Since this tragedy, many personalities and countries have mobilized to help Moroccans and the many victims of this tragedy.
For example, Jamel Debbouze immediately went to Marrakech to provide support and encourage everyone who can to help the Moroccan people. On Monday September 11, 2023, Mélissa Theuriau’s companion made a strong gesture in favor of those injured in the earthquake in Morocco during his visit there. Upon leaving a blood transfusion establishment, he declared to the‘AFP : “I am deeply moved to be here. We have seen immense solidarity. It’s incredible, we must film it, share it, to show to what extent Moroccans are united towards each other.”

Everyone is mobilizing for Morocco
In addition to Jamel Debbouze, personalities such as Gad Elmaleh, Booder, and Arthur are also mobilizing to help the victims. The host of TF1, himself a native of Casablanca in Morocco, announced on his social networks that he was working on a music video project to support the victims of the earthquake. He stated : “Starting tomorrow (this Monday), we are going to start filming a music video with many artists and celebrities. Jamel called on everyone to mobilize, and we are now trying to take action. Rather than rushing the things, we decided to set up a major operation in order to raise as much funds as possible.”
King Mohammed VI also gives of himself
On the Moroccan side, many people complained about the fact that the King of Morocco, Mohammad VI, had not yet expressed solidarity or offered assistance. However, according to images broadcast this Monday by the Moorish Movement account on social networks, the sovereign has now silenced the critics.
Indeed, these images show the king in a blood transfusion center donating his own blood to help his people. This gesture is honorable, although considered normal by some, it deserves to be highlighted and praised.
