First clue
The snow leopard is a magnificent feline that haunts high mountains and is particularly fond of steep cliffs and ravines. It is a very rare animal, a vulnerable species: we would not find more than 8000 in the wild. Many frequent the remote areas of our mystery country.
Second clue
Naadam is a traditional festival that celebrates the country’s independence. It features three traditional sports, archery, practiced by men and women, horse racing, reserved for children, and men’s wrestling. This colorful festival, which takes place in mid-July, is part of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Third clue
The Gobi Desert covers about a third of the country’s surface. It is one of the largest deserts in the world with an area of 1.3 million square kilometers. There are dunes, of course, but also stone steppes and large mountain ranges. Many nomads live there.
Fourth clue
In the local language, the word ger designates this traditional dwelling, round, easy to move to follow the nomadic way of life. It consists of a single room with a stove in the middle. Its walls are covered with one or two layers of felt and a waterproof cotton canvas. The inhabitants are particularly hospitable and welcome visitors with joy.
