First clue
This country contains architectural gems, such as this regional capital known for its carefully restored medieval buildings and its canals which give it a romantic aspect. This city, called “the sleeping beauty”, is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, in particular for its historic center and its belfry, a 13th century towere century slightly inclined.
Second clue
This country has a merchant tradition that dates back to the Late Middle Ages. One of its major port cities is home to the largest diamond stock exchange in the world and has several of the most prestigious diamond dealers in the world. About 70% of the planet’s diamonds pass through this city, and in particular through the famous diamond district.
Third clue
The Grand-Place is at the heart of the capital of this country. Victor Hugo considered it to be one of the most beautiful squares in the world, which is not a bad recommendation. This vast historic site is recognized for its ornamental richness and is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Fourth clue
He is one of the great symbols of the country. This little guy is only 55 cm tall, but he is the darling of tourists. It is a copy of a statuette designed in 1620 and kept in a museum. However, there would have been an even older statuette, perhaps from 1451.
