Quebec will celebrate Karl Tremblay with a national tribute ceremony

A national tribute ceremony will be organized next Tuesday for Cowboys Fringants singer Karl Tremblay, who died last week.

The office of Prime Minister François Legault announced Wednesday that this ceremony will be held at the Bell Center in Montreal.

A limited number of passes will be offered to the general public starting this Thursday at 10 a.m.

At the request of the Prime Minister, the Quebec flag on the central tower of the Parliament Building will be flown at half-mast from dawn to dusk.

According to a source in Mr. Legault’s office, the national tribute ceremony has the same importance as a national funeral, without the religious dimension.

Further details will follow.
