Quebec reports 784 new cases of COVID-19 and 3 more deaths

Of the new cases, 404 were unvaccinated or had only received a single dose less than 14 days ago, 12 had only received a single dose at least 14 days ago, and 368 had received a second dose at least seven days ago.

The province’s death toll now stands at 448,171 people infected and 11,579 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

227 hospitalizations were reported on Tuesday, one more than on Monday. Of these patients, 51 people are in intensive care, an increase of six.

Twenty-five people entered the hospital on Monday. Of these, 16 were vaccinated or had only received a single dose less than 14 days ago and nine had received a second dose at least seven days ago. Of eight people who entered intensive care, five were either unvaccinated or had only received a single dose less than 14 days ago and three had received a second dose at least seven days ago.

The Ministry of Health indicates that an error in the update of the data prevents it from disseminating the number of samples taken on November 28.

A total of 19,732 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the past 24 hours.

According to the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec, 80.8% of the population has received at least one dose of the vaccine. Among those 12 years and older, 91.2% have received at least one dose and 88.9% are adequately vaccinated.
