Quebec has 1,146 new COVID-19 infections and 2 more deaths

Quebec reported on Thursday 1,146 new cases of COVID-19 and two additional deaths.

Of the new cases, 624 were unvaccinated or had only received a single dose less than 14 days ago, 18 had only received a single dose at least two weeks ago, and 504 had received a second dose at least seven days ago.

The province’s death toll now stands at 450,513 people infected and 11,583 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

227 hospitalizations were reported Thursday, a decrease of 12 compared to the day before. Of these patients, 53 are in intensive care, one more than Wednesday.

Eighteen people entered the hospital on Wednesday. Of these, six were vaccinated or had only received a single dose less than 14 days ago and 12 had received a second dose at least seven days ago.

Of five people who entered intensive care, two were either unvaccinated or had only received a single dose less than 14 days ago and three had received a second dose at least seven days ago.

A total of 35,725 samples were taken on November 30.

Regarding vaccination, 26,563 doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

According to the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec, 81.2% of the population has received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Among those 12 years and over, 91.2% have received at least one dose and 89% are adequately vaccinated.
