Quebec box office | Confessions achieves the best Quebec start of the year

Luc Picard’s film rose to 4e ranking in the list of the most lucrative films by amassing receipts of $212,938, reveal data from the Cinéac agency. This is the best Quebec start this year.

Thor: Love and Thunder continues to dominate the rankings with $384,452, ahead of another sequel, that of minionswith $364,886.

The American Thriller Boop (in French, well no) enters 3e position with $252,914.

confessions paints a portrait of the prolific hitman Gérald Gallant. Luc Picard is directing the feature film, based on a screenplay by Sylvain Guy (Blacklist, Mafia Inc.)freely inspired by a book published by journalists Éric Thibault and Félix Séguin.

Before entering the room confessionsthe best start of 2022 belonged to norbourg. After its first three days of operation in April, Maxime Giroux’s feature film starring Vincent-Guillaume Otis and François Arnaud had raised $172,516. Arsenault & Sons (which can still be seen in theaters) completes the podium with a seed of $117,983 in June.

Cumulatively, revenue from confessions are close to $312,000, since they include the $100,000 collected during its first 48 hours on screen, during the days of last Wednesday and Thursday.
