The Qingming Festival, or Ching Ming, usually falls on April 4 or 5. It is a public holiday during which the Chinese tend to maintain the graves of their loved ones and make offerings to them in the form of pieces of paper with the image of different gifts that they burn – from cell phones to the luxury car, or anything that can make their life more comfortable in the other world.
