While the news of the French championship is marked by the incidents that occurred during Lyon-Marseille on Sunday, November 21, the authorities are preparing the next meetings. The Lens-PSG match, scheduled for Saturday 4 December in Ligue 1, will be played without Parisian supporters, under a decree taken by the prefect of Pas-de-Calais who invokes security reasons in the face of “heavy litigation between the two clubs”.
Classified as a major risk by the National Division of Fight against Hooliganism (DNLH), the meeting, which will also be played on the same day as Lille-Troyes, will oppose two teams whose fans hardly appreciate each other.
The decree, dated Friday, cites as “the degradation of the official bus of Lensois players by Parisian supporters on the night of May 1 to 2, 2021” and “the movement of Parisian supporters (…) to attack Lensois supporters and visitors to the city center of Lens” after the meeting between Lens and Saint-Etienne on August 15th.
Nobody “availing himself of the quality of supporter of Paris Saint-Germain or behaving as such” Will not be able to access the Bollaert stadium, nor to frequent its surroundings and the city center of Lens, from Saturday December 4 at 6 a.m. until Sunday at 6 a.m., specifies the decree.
