The Boys – So Be It, written by Richard Gaudreau and Cathleen Rouleau, receives a helping hand from SODEC in writing the screenplay. Obviously, not all announced film projects will necessarily make it into production, but this is the first step to take.
Note that of the 12 feature-length fiction screenplays, eight will be written by women. Nine if we count the participation of Cathleen Rouleau in The Boys. Among the other scenarios financed by SODEC, we note Jewelry by Miryam Bouchard and Marie-Ève Larivière, Death Metal by Geneviève Albert, Marie-Andrée Gill and Kim O’Bomsawin and Saint Lola! by Schelby Jean-Baptiste.
On the documentary side, in addition to the documentary project of Milk run which is interested in the dairy and cheese industry of Quebec and which will be written by its author Justin Laramée, note The Gerald Bull enigma, by Mathieu Fournier, on the murder of this Canadian engineer specializing in ballistics who became an arms dealer. Let us also mention The origins of music by Isabelle Lavigne.
