Pro D2 – Bayonne: Peyo Muscarditz extends rowing

The sirens of other clubs will not change anything. Peyo Muscarditz will indeed be Bayonnais for a while yet. The three-quarter center from the Barétous valley has extended his adventure with Rowing for two additional seasons (2024), plus an optional third (2025). The club makes the news official this Saturday, February 26.

Taulier of the locker room, symbol of Rowing in recent years, soul of the group. There are many qualifiers to talk about Peyo Muscarditz, as the 26-year-old three-quarter center has lived it all since 2012 on the banks of the Nive, first in the cadet section. Given starting already last summer, with the calls of the foot from the foot of clubs like Montpellier, Toulouse or La Rochelle, the co-captain of Ciel et blanc had finally decided to stay, just like Yannick Bru.

Peyo Muscarditz will therefore be part of the new workforce led by Grégory Patat, the Gers manager who will take over the reins of the team at the end of the season. This season, the center has played 14 of the 22 matches for Aviron Bayonnais, for 13 starts. Hit in the knee and hip in Béziers ten days ago, he is hoped for the trip to Provence Rugby but above all considered for the reception of Oyonnax in two weeks.
