Two of the four minors suspected of having attacked a couple in Toulouse in July were sentenced on Tuesday to prison, France Bleu Occitanie reported this Wednesday. The hearing of these two minors involved in this case was held Tuesday behind closed doors. Contacted by France Bleu Occitanie, one of the parties confirms the sentences first announced by La Dépêche du Midi: 18 months in prison for an attacker aged 16 (36 months, 18 of which are suspended) and six months in prison. for another attacker also aged 16 (18 months, 12 of which were suspended).

“Savage and barbaric violence”

On July 19, a couple was violently attacked at Place du Capitole in Toulouse. A 19-year-old woman was then disfigured with broken bottles and posted photos of her face on social networks. The mayor of Toulouse, Jean-Luc Moudenc, reacted in particular to X, describing this act as “savage and barbaric violence”.

The four minors involved, two girls and two boys aged 14 to 17, were arrested. Some are followed by the protection of minors due to a difficult social background, others are unfavorably known to the justice system. Three of them had been placed under judicial supervision. The main attacker, aged 17, was placed in pre-trial detention.
