Princess Kate appears in first official photo since her operation

Almost two months after her abdominal operation, during which she remained away from the public, Kensington Palace published the first official photo of Princess Kate on Sunday March 10 on social networks. The image shows the smiling Princess of Wales, sitting on a garden chair, surrounded by her three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, laughing. The photo was taken by Prince William, according to the accompanying caption.

The princess’ last public appearance was at the royal family’s Christmas mass at Sandringham House. This family photograph is the first official image of Kate released by the royal family since her hospitalization on January 16 for abdominal surgery, the cause of which has not been revealed. Kensington Palace then said that the princess would not resume her official activities before Easter and she had remained almost invisible since, sparking speculation and questions about her state of health.
