This last comes from a large family of Guatemalan diplomats and politicians. He is the son of the Guatemalan ambassador in London and has entered politics himself. Javier Valladares Urruela is currently second secretary to the Guatemalan ambassador in Paris. His brother, Acisclo Valladares Urruela, served as economy minister when Jimmy Morales was still the country’s president.
