Prime Minister Gabriel Attal won 58.23% of the vote in the second round of the legislative elections in the 10th constituency of Hauts-de-Seine on Sunday, July 7. He came ahead of the New Popular Front candidate, Cécile Soubelet (41.77%), whom he had beaten in 2022.
Despite this victory, Gabriel Attal announced that he would submit his resignation to the President of the Republic on Monday, specifying that he would remain in his post. “as long as duty requires”in reference to the Olympic Games, which open on July 26.
