President Yaël Braun-Pivet challenges the accusations of lies on her declaration of interests and activities

Alma Dufour questioned the impartiality of the President of the Assembly, while she defended in the hemicycle an amendment, rejected by the majority, to tax the superprofits of companies, such as TotalEnergies, for the benefit of the retreats. “It is unacceptable!”, exclaimed Yaël Braun-Pivet at the perch. The declarations of interests and activities of the deputies elected last June were published on Wednesday by the High Authority for the Transparency of Public Life (HATVP).

The president made a first declaration at the end of July, and a second in October supplemented with some 40,000 euros in total in shares of Axa, LVMH or TotalEnergies. These actions “appeared in the declaration of assets” of the President of the Assembly, which explains why“there is no omission”, confirmed the HATVP to AFP. In a press release, the President of the Assembly deplored “the inaccuracies contained in the article” of everyday life and “attempts at political exploitation”.
