We remember his big rant on August 27 during the 4th day of Ligue 1.
After the meeting between Stade de Reims and Lyon which ended in a draw (1-1), Jean-Pierre Caillot felt that he “there was a problem with the French refereeing. Tired of it. We should explain that the refereeing, every week, on all grounds must be the same for everyone”. Jean-Pierre Caillot judges that during this meeting, there were several errors of assessment.
On Wednesday evening, the president of Stade de Reims was sanctioned by the Professional Football League. It is therefore suspended from the bench, referees’ dressing rooms and all official functions until December 31, 2022.
This decision comes into effect on September 13.
It is only valid for match days. There are 9 left in Ligue 1 by December 31, 2022.
