The back-to-school concert is fast approaching, and we are starting to see it in downtown Dijon. For its twentieth edition, this Friday, August 26, 2022, the Places Saint Michel and Place de la Liberation welcome ten artists, from 6 p.m. Among them, the DJ Etienne de Crécy or the group La Femme. Each year the event attracts a crowd of Dijon residents, so to allow the smooth running of the evening, a gauge is put in place and access to part of the city center is controlled and prohibited to traffic.
Access to scenes
From Friday 26 August in the afternoon, access to Place de la Libération and Place Saint Michel will be regulated, both for security reasons and to be able to count the number of spectators in the evening. The maximum gauge is set at 17,000 people at the same time, security guards will refuse entry to new arrivals once this number is reached. Bags will be systematically checked, and bulky items such as large glass bottles will be confiscated.
Access will therefore be at specific points: four entries are provided. Three are located around the Place du Théâtre, between the two stages: via rue Chabot-Charny, rue Philippe Pot and rue Lammonoye. The fourth is at the corner of rue des Forges and place Notre Dame, near the city crèche. Please note, this year rue Jeannin and rue de la Liberté are only exits: access will be refused if you arrive via these streets. The exit is via all the other accesses, except rue Philippe Pot. The other streets that lead to the two squares are condemned, access is forbidden to pedestrians.

City center closed to traffic
From midnight Thursday August 25, parking is prohibited in a large part of the city center, around Place de la Liberation and Place Saint-Michel, but also in the direction of Place de la République and Place Wilson. From 12 p.m. on Friday August 26, traffic will be strictly prohibited in this sector. It is therefore impossible to cross the city center by car until the end of the concert, on the night of Friday to Saturday. Everything will normalize on Saturday, during which the scenes will be dismantled.
