Traveling to Rodez, in Aveyron, Friday April 7, Elisabeth Borne returned to her call for “appeasement and not to rush things” concerning pension reform. Is there a disagreement between the chief executive and Emmanuel Macron?
Elisabeth Borne was in Aveyron on the morning of April 7, a trip dedicated to health in the territories. Asked about the pension reform on the sidelines of her visit, she affirms that there is no disagreement between her and Emmanuel Macrin. “The President of the Republic sets the course, I am working on a government program and a legislative agenda and we share exactly the same objectives: appease the country and provide concrete and rapid responses to the French”she said.
A more conciliatory tone that makes the entourage of the president react
However, a few hours earlier, in an interview with the newspaper Le Monde, the Prime Minister seemed to be letting go. Elisabeth Borne is calling “to respect a period of convalescence”. A more conciliatory tone which immediately aroused a reaction from the president’s entourage on the sidelines of his trip to China. The Élysée recalls that the course has been given and that the Prime Minister’s mission is to work on a roadmap for the months to come.
