Two months after drug trafficker Mohamed Amra escaped from the Incarville toll booth (Eure), the police are launching an appeal for witnesses, France Bleu Normandie reported on Wednesday July 10.
The attack on the van on May 14 that was transporting the trafficker left two dead and three injured. The police are asking “any person present on May 14 between 10 a.m. and noon, between Acquigny and Évreux, or more generally in Eure and Seine-Maritime”to report any event that could advance the investigation. A judicial investigation has been opened for “organized gang murders”, “attempted murders by an organized gang”, as well as’“organized gang escape”. The two cars used by Mohamed Amra’s accomplices to escape were set on fire. The first was burned in Houetteville around 11:20 a.m. on the day of the escape, the second a little later in Gauville-la-Campagne around 11:50 a.m. The police are asking anyone who saw these two vehicles to come forward. They are a white Audi S5 with registration CZ-328-HK and a black BMW 4 series with registration ED-398-RH. The prosecutor’s office is also sending this appeal for witnesses by text message to residents of the area concerned.
