Clémence’s words

A monument to the Quebec artistic scene, Clémence DesRochers was the subject of a three-act tribute series, orchestrated by Radio-Canada, on November 20 and 21. In addition to a long interview conducted by the columnist at Press Mario Girard and a song program hosted by Monique Giroux, a podcast is available on the Ohdio platform. Clémence’s words is a compilation of the most biting acts of the comedian, actress, singer and feminist before their time. The podcast opens with his famous monologue on menopause (“Do I take the hormone or I don’t take the hormone?), And continues for 90 minutes with archives unearthed by Mario Girard, a great fan of his work.

Thief

Thief

A star of the small screen defrauded by a neighbor. Five million bees stolen in broad daylight. An ambulance stolen by a patient on the way to the hospital. Hosted by columnist Marc-André Carignan, the new podcast Thief relates the most incongruous stories of theft, those which make us say out loud: but why? The five episodes go by in less than two hours, but if you don’t have enough time, you have to hear the paramedic, absolutely dismayed, tell the central that his patient has left with the ambulance. This is awfully absurd. We also remember the story of the famous animator Guy Mongrain, who lost $ 300,000 at the hands of a “friend”, thirty years ago. Beyond the financial losses, the episode relates with sensitivity the psychological ravages caused by the theft.

The witches

Essayist and journalist Judith Lussier launches second season of her feminist podcast The witches. To mark the occasion, the recordings are now made in due form at the new studio L’idéal, where the author ofCanceled: Reflections on cancel culture will receive each week a collaborator and two guests to remake the world. You will hear India Desjardins, Safia Nolin, Catherine Fournier and several other women discussing emotional load, militant fatigue, gaslighting and related topics. For those who wish to continue listening, the recordings of the Cabaret des sorcières, a show produced at the Lion d’Or, are also available on the paid site Patreon.
