Piu Di Voce from July 19 to 31 in Périgord

For its 16th edition, the Pui di Voce festival presents one of the operas: Tosca by Giacomo Puccini. The work lasts approximately 2 hours. “It’s a fairly short format, like all of Puccini’s pieces” Jean-François Boyer, the festival’s musical director. “The music is very opulent. It is very changeable, it progresses with the drama with suspended moments. There is a great moment of love in the first act, much more tense moments in the 2nd, before a renewal of hope in the end,” he continues.

A cast of choice is assembled. On stage the soprano Fabienne Conrad who also signs the staging interprets the role of Floria Tosca. Christophe Berry portrays the character of Mario Cavaradossi and baritone Bernard Arrieta plays the villain, Baron Scarpia, chief of police.
