“Here we are, we are in 2022, and there are still bastards capable of depositing that in the ditches !!” Antoine Valprémit, the mayor of Sacé, north of Laval, loses his temper on social networks after the discovery of garbage cans left wildly in a ditch in his town. On the photos posted, we see pigs’ trotters, the remains of a seafood platter, garbage cans “and even sheep’s wool”, scattered in a ditch and a few inches from a trash can.
If the waste has since been cleaned by public officials, the mayor denounces a lack of respect for the environment but also “for the farmers in the sector, and above all no respect for the public officials who have to clean up !!” Depositing, abandoning, throwing or dumping any type of waste on the public highway is punished by a fixed fine of 135 euros.
