The latest version of “The Count of Monte Cristo” comes out Friday June 28. In this new version of Alexandre Dumas’ novel, Pierre Niney surpasses himself in the role of the hero in search of justice.

The essential Pierre Niney lends his features to the mythical and extraordinary character of Alexandre Dumas. “We said to ourselves that we had to find an actor who could play 20 years old, 40 years old, full of innocence, a mysterious and a little opaque man…”, explains Alexandre De La Patellière, co-writer and co-director of the film, presented to the public before its theatrical release on Friday June 28.
