A motorist who was sandwiched between a school bus and a tractor-trailer during a road accident on the North Shore of Montreal was fighting for his life Thursday morning.
It was a sudden slowdown in traffic on Highway 640 East, in the Rosemère sector, that caused the accident.

“The driver of the car was hit by a school bus and then he was thrown against the semi-trailer in front of him,” said Sergeant Audrey-Anne Bilodeau, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
The driver of the small Honda Civic, a man in his thirties, was taken to hospital in critical condition. His condition recovered later that evening.
