A Royal LePage Humania building was targeted by a suspicious fire overnight from Monday to Tuesday in Sainte-Thérèse, in the Lower Laurentians.
The Fire Department was alerted around 1:00 a.m. to a fire in a three-storey building on boulevard du Curé-Labelle, near boulevard René-A.-Robert.
The firefighters quickly brought the flames under control, which did not spread to the floors of the building, but the damage caused inside the building would be significant.
Fortunately, no one was injured, while an incendiary object was found at the scene, which argues for the suspicious nature of the fire.
The investigation was then transferred to the Régie intermunicipale de police Thérèse-De Blainville, which will have to determine the causes and the exact circumstances of this fire.
