A learner driver drove directly into the main window of a branch of the National Bank, around noon today, on Nordique Avenue, in Beauport.
The young motorist would have confused the accelerator and the brake when it came time to park in front of the establishment. He was accompanied by one of his parents at the time of the accident.

The two occupants of the vehicle were more scared than hurt. They escaped with minor injuries.
“The driver was able to extricate his vehicle himself from this unfortunate position. It was simply a false maneuver that caused material damage, ”explains the spokesperson for the Quebec City Police Service Sandra Dion.

No one was inside the building, which is closed for the day due to Good Friday.
This is the second time that a driver has hit the front of a business head-on in 10 days in Quebec City. On March 30, a septuagenarian crashed her car into the window of the La Haye florist shop in Neufchâtel.
