Peter Gabriel’s tour will stop in Montreal and Quebec

Seven years after his time on the Plains of Abraham and at the Bell Center with Sting, Peter Gabriel will be in concert in Montreal and Quebec next September.

The former member of the group Genesis revealed the dates of his North American tour on Tuesday i/o, which he will begin in Europe in May. Five concerts are scheduled in Canada, including September 8 at the Videotron Center in Quebec City and September 13 at the Bell Center in Montreal. Tickets for those dates go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m.

The tour i/o accompanies the album of the same name, which is scheduled for release in 2023. In January, Peter Gabriel indicated that he would unveil a song on the occasion of each of the full moons of the year. The most recent title, Playing for Time, was released on Tuesday. It’s a song about “time, mortality, memories and the idea that each of us has a planet full of memories hidden in our brains,” the artist wrote on Twitter.

i/o is Peter Gabriel’s first album since Uplaunched in 2002.
