Thirteenth in the Top 14, Usap saved its skin in the elite by winning its play-off match, Sunday June 12, in Mont-de-Marsan (16-41). More solid, Perpignan used its experience to have the first of the regular season of Pro D2. The Catalan club obtains its first maintenance since 2013.

With four tries, the Sang et Or easily dominated their opponents. For his last game with his team, international back Melvyn Jaminet scored 26 points. Despite some approximations, the future Toulouse flattened the first Catalan test (18th). Jeronimo De La Fuente (56th), Lucas Dubois (68th) and Tristan Tedder (75th) also crossed the line. Usap became the first Top 14 formation to win this barrage against the Pro D2 finalist since the system was introduced in 2018.

Undefeated for 17 home games, Mont-de-Marsan failed to overthrow his opponent, even though Yoann Laousse Azpiazou scored the first try of the match (4th). Stade Montois had already lost in the Pro D2 final last week, against Bayonne (20-49). Despite an excellent season ended with 106 points, the Landes club, too undisciplined, remains in the second division.
