A perfume should correspond to who we are. It’s a very personal choice, very intimate even. Here is a selection of 10 varied fragrances that caught our attention for the new season.

For free spirits

Created by the famous Hermès perfumer and olfactory creative director Christine Nagel, the new perfume Tutti Twilly is intended to be a celebration of female friendships and freedom. A fragrance where ginger flower is the raw material, accompanied by lychee and musk, more enveloping. Tutti Twilly is an airy, colorful fragrance that will appeal to the most intrepid who like to stand out.

Mystical Wood

let’s wander in the forest

Let’s say it straight away, Mystical Wood from Maison Houbigant is a pure masterpiece. This creation by Luca Maffei reminds us that this brand, created in 1775, continues to solidly defend its reputation. Its notes of incense, black pepper, cinnamon, cedar, cashmere wood, myrrh, amber, guaiac and musk form a high-caliber symphony. If you like woody scents, perfumes that arouse mystery, captivating scents, this is for you.

Yes I am Bloom Up!

Happy scent

Yes I am Bloom Up! is the new fragrance from Cacharel. We remember the success of the legendary perfume Anais Anais in the 1990s which marked an entire generation of young women. This new fragrance has the potential to be so seductive, because we are pleasantly surprised by the freshness of red berries mixed with notes of red peonies. Joyful and refreshing.

Roman Lavender

A lavender that reinvents itself

Among the Romans, lavender was used to perfume water intended for ablutions. Indeed, lavender means “to wash”. Master perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena remembered this when he created Roman Lavender for the Perris Monte Carlo house. This unisex aromatic fougère combines fine lavender with notes of blackcurrant buds, blue cedar and white musk and makes you want to get closer to the person wearing it. Chic without going overboard, this perfume can be worn both during the day and in the evening.

Snows

The magic of winter

This fall we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of perfume Snows by Lise Watier, an emblematic fragrance of the brand. “The success of a perfume comes from a set of things, there is the story which is born from the conception of the perfume and the fragrance. With Snows, Lise Watier wanted to pay homage to the magic of winter, the magical side of freshly fallen snow that sparkles,” explains Daphné Mollot, vice-president of innovation, of the Marcelle group. The olfactory creation around a bouquet of white flowers stood out 30 years ago and is still a real success.

Faces of Francis

Painter’s perfume

Created in 2015, the Vilhem Parfumerie brand already has around thirty creations to its credit. Their distinctive sign? Singularity and know-how. Faces of Francis, inspired by the painter Francis Bacon, does not escape this characteristic. Saffron, roasted pistachio, juniper wood, oud, ambergris, cypriol, vetiver and smoked styrax are at the heart of this perfume, generous in aldehydes (a molecule which has the effect of unfolding the compositions). Fiery and obscure, like the painter who owes it its name, this perfume celebrates autumn. For those who don’t like conventional things.

Devotion

Italy in all its splendor

Devotion from Dolce & Gabbana is Italy in all its splendor. It’s the island of Capri, the sun and the smell of the Mediterranean. Madagascar vanilla rubs shoulders with orange blossom and candied citrus fruits in this perfume created by French perfumer Olivier Cresp, nicknamed the genius of perfumery. He is the one who created the perfume Angel by Thierry Mugler, one of the best-selling perfumes in the world, and Katy Perry is the star of the advertising film for this new luminous perfume.

Bread in Chestnut

Bread and butter

The designer Meabh McCurtin did not lack audacity when she imagined Bread in Chestnut for the home Scents Of Wood. There is something decadent, but terribly attractive in this composition which combines cardamom, chestnut, rosemary, bran absolute, benzoin resinoid, smoked frankincense, tonka bean absolute, sandalwood and patchouli. Confusing as can be, this perfume is not for those looking for classic creations.

Room No

A love letter to Los Angeles

Founded in Los Angeles by Canadian Daniel Patrick Giles, Perfumehead’s first collection is titled A Love Letter to Los Angeles. It is composed of seven perfume extracts handcrafted from the finest essential oils and natural extracts and which pay homage to the perfumer’s adopted city. Each perfume for her or him evokes a story. Room No is inspired by a night of love at the famous Château Marmont hotel where bergamot and nutmeg mix with vanilla musk and black tea. A comforting blend.

Not this evening

Tonight or anytime

What a curious name for a perfume that says the complete opposite of what it announces. Not this evening by bdk Parfums is as inviting as can be and offers a most seductive trail. This unisex fruity chypre has all the qualities of great gourmand perfumes, but with added refinement. Concentrated at 30% (this is an extract), this creation features cocoa, black pepper, ginger as well as notes of peach and orange blossom. In the base, patchouli and vanilla give the trail a hypnotizing effect. It is certainly a formidable weapon of seduction. A scent of great evenings!
