(Longueuil) A man was seriously injured following a collision that occurred late Friday in Longueuil, Montérégie.
It was around 8 p.m. that the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service (SPAL) was called about a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of Chemin de Chambly and Rue Louise.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured, but the pedestrian, a man in his sixties, suffered serious injuries. He was evacuated to a hospital.
SPAL specifies that the Chambly road, at the intersection, has been blocked to traffic in both directions for an indefinite period and that a security perimeter has been set up to protect the scene. Investigators must collect as much evidence as possible to clarify the circumstances of this event. Consequently, SPAL asks citizens to avoid the area as much as possible.
