(Longueuil) A pedestrian succumbed to his injuries after being hit by a car Friday evening in Longueuil, in Montérégie.
It was around 8 p.m. that the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service (SPAL) was called about a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of Chemin de Chambly and Rue Louise.
The man in his sixties was in serious condition when he was taken to hospital. A SPAL spokesperson, François Boucher, confirmed the victim’s death at around 12:15 a.m. on Saturday.
The Chambly road has been reopened to traffic. The driver of the vehicle was not injured, but he suffered a violent nervous shock.
