A Quebec woman pleaded guilty on Wednesday to sending a poisoned letter to Donald Trump at the White House in 2020 and should be sentenced to nearly 22 years in prison, according to the federal prosecutor in Washington.
Pascale Ferrier, 55, admitted that she made ricin, a potentially deadly poison, in her Quebec home in September 2020 and placed it in threatening letters to the President of the United States and to eight Texas agents.
His sentence for “violations of the rules on biological weapons” will be handed down on April 26 and should, if the judge accepts the terms of the agreement reached with the prosecution, amount to 262 months in prison, specify in a press release. Attorney Matthew Graves.

According to the court filing, the letter, which was intercepted in September at the White House mail sorting center, called Donald Trump an “ugly tyrannical clown”.

The Quebecer had also threatened employees of the Texas prison and police system whom she considered responsible for her incarceration, for approximately two months in 2019, for illegal possession of firearms.
After posting her letters in Canada, she drove to the United States and was intercepted by border guards in possession of a loaded weapon and numerous ammunition. Placed in detention, she remained imprisoned throughout the procedure.
