US Secretary of State Antony Blinken began two days of congressional hearings on Tuesday which were immediately disrupted by pro-Palestinian demonstrators.
The latter shouted that the top American diplomat was a “war criminal” and “the butcher of Gaza” because of his support for Israel. They were immediately escorted by police to the exit.
Blinken said a ceasefire deal in Gaza was still possible, but an attempt to arrest Israeli leaders by the International Criminal Court (ICC) was slowing efforts.
