Hugo Auradou and Oscar Jégou will be presented, accused of sexual violence, will be presented to a judge. The lawyer of the alleged victim speaks of terrible violence.

Oscar Jégou, hood over his head, is followed by Hugo Auradou. The two players of the French XV were taken into the convoy that will take them to Mendoza (Argentina), Thursday July 11. On Friday, they will be presented to justice for the first time, and will be able to explain the events of the previous weekend. On Saturday July 6, at 11 p.m., the French team won its match against Argentina. Players spent the evening in trendy bars in Mendoza to celebrate the victory.

Around 4:30 a.m., a 39-year-old woman met Hugo Auradou. He allegedly invited her to the hotel an hour later. The assault then allegedly began. “He threw her on the bed and punched her in the eye and then in the face. He started to suffocate her according to her account. She has blows absolutely all over her body,” describes Me Natacha Romano, the victim’s lawyer. Later in the night and still according to her testimony, she was then attacked by Oscar Jégou.

The complainant reportedly only managed to leave the hotel at 8:30 a.m., a scene captured by surveillance cameras. Beyond the fact that the relationship was consensual, says the lawyer for the two players, Mr. Rafael Cuneo Libarona, the image would prove that there was no violence. If the facts are proven, the rugby players face up to 20 years in prison.
