Opening | The Angels’ Share of Rosemont

The “angels’ share” is this phenomenon of evaporation which results from the aging of an alcohol in wood. The vapors rise straight to the heavens! At the corner of Masson and Chapleau streets, in the premises adjacent to the Montreal Distillery, a newcomer recently set up shop to capture these precious vapors – figuratively of course! – and retransmit them to you in the form of cocktails, among other things.

But La Part des Anges is not just a bar. It’s a complete table with menus for lunch, dinner and weekend brunches. Stéphanie Boulé and Mickaël Nantais, recent ITHQ graduates and childhood friends, are at the helm. They are the ones who welcome you warmly.

The young chef, Julien Raymond, concocts dishes “inspired by Quebec traditions”. The menu is very affordable, but there could be a few fewer options to ensure a more precise execution of each.

You won’t be surprised to learn that the cocktails all contain at least one spirit from the Distillerie de Montréal and that they were created by bar chef Simon Gauthier. There are also wines, including some Quebec vintages and non-alcoholic options.

The location as well as the distillery premises and the bar located above the dining room have also been designed to hold group events, small to large. This is information to keep in mind for all the festivities to come in the coming months.
